Account Officer

Responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and business partners. This role involves business development, client servicing, portfolio management support, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The officer will play a key role in driving institutional investments, fostering partnerships, and expanding the company’s assets under management (AUM).

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In charge of acquisition of new accounts.
  • Conducts regular client calls for both selling and client servicing.
  • Manages, maintains, and post-sales service of existing accounts.
  • Develops modules and presentations for selling and presentation activities.
  • Engages with key stakeholders in corporate accounts.
  • Conducts regular fieldwork for market saturation.
  • Assists or initiates other activities that could contribute or lead to the hitting of the targets.
  • Take and pass the UITF and CISOL exams.
  • Creates reports and all necessary documents to be monitored and checked by the immediate manager.
  • Spearheads activities that could ramp up inflow of investments including but not limited to, road shows, participation in marketing campaigns, participation in pod casts amongst other things.
  • Develops new markets and identifies organizations to saturate.
  • Develops modules and presentations for selling and presentation activities.
  • Engages with key stakeholders in corporate accounts.
  • Conducts financial literacy sessions for education, awareness, and visibility.
  • Coordinates with marketing for marketing activations that would lead to conversion of leads.
  • Assists and supports the VP and the sales support team in coordinating and liaising with the distribution team
  • Engages in joint field works with distributors.
  • Other tasks that may be assigned based on business needs.

  • Ability to clearly articulate investment products, fund performance, and compliance requirements to corporate clients and internal teams
  • Builds and maintains strong, trust-based relationships with institutional clients and business partners
  • Responds effectively to client concerns, regulatory challenges, and internal process gaps
  • Delivers compelling investment pitches and fund updates; negotiates terms to onboard and retain clients
  • Ensures accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance adherence for all client accounts
  • Works seamlessly with cross-functional teams such as compliance, finance, operations, and investments

    Functional:

  • Skilled in prospecting, networking, and creating strategies to grow AUM and institutional client base
  • Understands fund structures, market trends, asset classes, and risk management to support client decision-making
  • Familiar with AML/KYC processes, SEC regulations, and institutional due diligence requirements
  • Proficient in account opening, transaction monitoring, and managing client records and reporting systems
  • Prepares and reviews fund performance reports, regulatory submissions, and board-level materials
  • Utilizes client management systems and tools to track relationships, activity history, and ensure accurate reporting

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

    Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate account management, institutional sales, or business development in fund management, asset management, or banking

    Certificates, Licenses:

  • UITF certification exam, CISOL licensure exam
